About

We help Canadian charities get organized, understand their finances, and plan ahead.

CharityBookkeeping.ca is an operating name of B.I.G. Charity Accounting Firm.

Who we are

CharityBookkeeping.ca is the bookkeeping and annual filing service of B.I.G. Charity Accounting Firm, a Toronto-based practice that works exclusively with Canadian charities and not-for-profit organizations.

Everything we do is built around one sector. We are not a general bookkeeping service that also happens to take on charities. That focus is what lets us keep the process simple for the people actually running the organization, so the books stop being something you have to think about.

What we do

  • Charity Bookkeeping & Clean-Up

Ongoing bookkeeping, catch-up and clean-up work, transaction recording, account reconciliation, Chart of Accounts support, and preparation of financial statements.

  • T3010 & Annual Filing Support

Helping charities prepare and organize the financial information required for annual filings and T3010 preparation.

What working with us means

  • Icon of a target with an arrow hitting the bullseye.

    One sector, not many

We work only with registered charities and not-for-profit organizations, so nothing here has been adapted from general business bookkeeping.

    Restricted funds handled properly

Donor-designated money is tracked separately from general funds from the start, so it is reported the way it should be.

    Part of a wider firm

Where an organization needs more than bookkeeping, the broader compliance work sits with B.I.G. Charity Accounting Firm.
